The nurse coordinator also educates patients about their condition and assists them in arranging for the help of nutritional counselors, social workers, and other support personnel.

Treatment Options

The Lymphoma & Leukemia Center is the leading facility in South Jersey for treating cancers of the blood. Among the options available are chemotherapy and radiation immunotherapy. Cooper physicians are experts at prescribing the most effective dosages for chemotherapy and in assisting patients in handling side effects. Cooper is also a regional leader in radiation immunotherapy using advanced drugs such as Bexxar and Zevalin.

In cases where stem cell transplants or marrow transplantation are advisable, Cooper can refer patients to other facilities within the CINJ network. Cooper physicians are also experts at helping patients with pain management. In addition, Cooper can provide access to important clinical trials that offer additional options for patients suffering from hematological malignancies.
