Naomi Lawrence, M.D. earned her B.A. degree from Tulane University in 1983, and her M.D. from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 1987.
Following her internship and residency in Dermatology at Tulane, Dr. Lawrence accepted a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Thereafter, she completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship under the direction Of Willis Cottel, M.D. in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Lawrence is Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology, is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. She has published medical studies in the leading journals of Dermatology and presents yearly at major conferences as a leader in her field. She is the author of a book on skin rejuvenation and numerous chapters and articles on liposuction, chemical peeling, skin cancer and reconstruction, and facial rejuvenation procedures including filling agents.
The American College of Mohs and Micrographic Surgery and the American College of Graduate Medical Education has designated Cooper University Hospital’s dermatologic surgery office in Marlton, New Jersey as an official fellowship site in Mohs Micrographic Surgery / Procedural Dermatology. Dr. Lawrence accepts one fellow per year who has completed their Dermatology training. Dr. Lawrence also instructs Dermatology residents with Cooper University Hospital and medical students with UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
