Fillers – Reversing the Aging Face

Fillers such as collagen, Restylane, Captique and autologous fat (your own fat) have revolutionized the approach to the aging face. As we age, we lose fat under the eyes, which creates "dark circles.” Another common occurrence is the formation of “smile creases, which occurs when our cheeks become lower and the corners of the mouth become depressed. In addition, wrinkles are created over time by continued muscle movement and loss of elastic tissue in the skin due to sun damage. Fillers create a natural, non-invasive option with excellent results for reversing these changes. Fillers are most commonly used under the eyes, in the lips, around the mouth and in the cheeks to give a well-rested, youthful appearance.

Skin Resurfacing - For deeper wrinkles, skin resurfacing can be used for lifting and lightening the skin. In cases where there is more extensive sun damage, we offer deeper resurfacing using a carbon dioxide laser. Sun-damaged skin is vaporized to reveal smooth, healthier younger appearing skin. Many patients prefer to have this done just around the eyes, where thin "crepe-paper" skin develops with age. Treatment of the entire face can provide for dramatic improvements.
