Mission
The mission of the Cooper Early Intervention Program is to assist individuals with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Our comprehensive medical, social, nutritional, psychological, educational, and research services are available to those who are outpatients, as well as those who are hospitalized. These services are provided without regard to where patients live or their ability to pay.

Our History
Since 1990, the Early Intervention Program at Cooper University Hospital has provided comprehensive, confidential services for people with HIV / AIDS. Our team of experts combines exceptional experience and knowledge with outstanding compassion and sensitivity. As leaders in the fight against HIV / AIDS, we believe that early diagnosis and treatment is the best way to help patients successfully manage their health.

Our Team
Our dedicated medical team includes board-certified infectious disease specialists who are also on the teaching staff of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. They are joined by nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists, counselors, educators, and social workers.

We recognize that HIV / AIDS affects many aspects of an individual’s medical and emotional life. So we are pleased to be able to offer such a comprehensive selection of services in one centralized location. If you have been diagnosed with HIV / AIDS, our experienced team will meet with you to design a program based on your individual needs. We will help you plan your medication schedule and assist you and your family in contacting needed support. We can also enroll interested patients in current clinical research studies.
