Graduation and Withdrawal
Criteria for Graduation
Perfusion students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to integrate their background in anatomy, physiology, ethics, pathology, pharmacology, and perfusion techniques to patient care.
- Demonstrate appropriate preoperative patient assessment.
- Select and use the proper perfusion equipment and techniques.
- Respond to changes in the conduct of perfusion.
Students’ clinical skills and attitudes are evaluated utilizing case evaluations, quarterly evaluations, and the clinical competency evaluation form as established by the Student Review Committee.
After successful completion of the course of study, and with the recommendation of the directors of the school, the student will be qualified to apply for the certification examination given by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
Withdrawal
Students may withdraw at any time by notifying the Director of the program in writing. The official withdrawal date shall be determined by the date the letter of withdrawal is received by the Director. The student shall be considered to be in continuous attendance up to and including the date of receipt of the letter of withdrawal by the Director. Ceasing to attend, or giving notice to an instructor, shall not constitute an official withdrawal.
Withdrawals will be refunded on a prorated basis:
