The Cooper Health System is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The 2007/2008 Academic Year marks our sixteenth accredited year as a national sponsor of CME, a status that was just renewed. In July 2006, Cooper received a six-year accreditation with commendation (until July 2012). This is a major accomplishment for The Cooper Health System! Cooper is the only hospital or health system in southern New Jersey with national accreditation. Moreover, only an average of 7% of all national CME providers receive a six year accreditation with commendation (approximately 49 providers).
One very important aspect of The Cooper Health System is its teaching mission. We are committed to educating our medical staff; however, our CME program also reaches out to physicians in the tri-state area, nationally, and internationally. With these CME activities, we address the needs of both primary care physicians and specialists.
