Summary:Caring for a patient when they are nearing the end of their life can be emotional and confusing.
Description:
Our own ethics expert Dr Vijay Rajput, will guide the class participants to a better understanding of issues surrounding end of life care.  Concepts such at “futile care” and the principle of “double effect” will be discussed. He will also address how to handle conflicts that may develop between a patient/family and the health care professional regarding advanced directives. Please bring along any examples of issues you may have encountered and would like to discuss.
