Dr Alexander has been on the staff of Cooper Hospital since 1986. He is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Alexander received his Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his General Surgery training at Cooper Hospital and went on to complete his Vascular Surgery training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Alexander is an officer of the Philadelphia Academy of Surgery and is also a past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, The Vascular Society of New Jersey and the Delaware Valley Vascular Society. He is Medical Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory at Cooper Hospital.

Dr. Alexander has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in Philadelphia Magazine and New Jersey magazine. He has co-authored over 40 medical publications. He is a frequent speaker at medical meetings on the subject of vascular disease. Dr. Alexander specializes in the diagnosis, management and treatment of disorders of arteries. He has expertise in the treatment of carotid artery stenosis, both aneurysm and occlusive disease of the aorta and its branches, and lower extremity arterial reconstructions. He is also interested in the management of venous and lymphatic disease. He utilizes minimally invasive technology for the treatment of varicose veins.
