Dr. Robert M. Simons is a member of the Department of Surgery in the division of General Surgery at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Camden campus.
Dr. Simons graduated cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1986. He received his M.D. degree from Jefferson Medical College of the Thomas Jefferson University in 1991.
Dr, Simons did his surgical internship and five year residency at the Lankenau Hospital Medical Research Center in Wynnewood Pennsylvania. He was in private practice in Minnesota for five years before moving back to the east coast.
Dr. Simons is board certified in General Surgery and has co-authored several medical publications. He is a member of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract as well as the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Simons is interested in seeing patients with a broad range of general surgical problems.
