Louis Chaptini, M.D., joined the staff of Cooper University Hospital after completing an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship at Cooper, a teaching hospital of the UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
In addition to traditional training in upper endoscopy, enteroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and videocapsule endoscopy, Dr. Chaptini has extensive training in diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for complicated biliary and pancreatic disorders. He also has an interest in the treatment of obesity and post-bariatric gastrointestinal complications.
Dr. Chaptini is a diplomate of the American Board of Gastroenterology, The American Board of Internal Medicine and holds membership in a number of professional societies including the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Chaptini is available for hospital consultations and outpatient services including new and follow-up appointments.
