Message from Chief of Medicine
Cooper University Hospital has a rich tradition of providing both medical service and education that dates back to 1887. The only academic, tertiary care medical center serving southern New Jersey, Cooper is the clinical campus for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
The Department of Medicine at Cooper University Hospital is committed to excellence in clinical care, research, and to the finest medical education. Our goal is to provide our medicine residents with a quality medical education and academic clinical experience in a supportive, friendly environment. Our graduates pass their boards and become outstanding clinicians, while developing a sophisticated understanding of medicine.
