Internal Medicine Residency Program

Message from Program Director

There is a growing need for highly skilled physicians to respond to the clinical, organizational, fiscal, and regulatory challenges facing today’s increasingly complex health systems. Excellent training at the residency level is essential for developing knowledgeable physicians with “practical wisdom.”

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Cooper University Hospital, UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Camden is a rigorous academic program designed to train physicians for the twenty-first century in a friendly and nurturing environment with enough flexibility to allow you to balance your personal and professional life.

It is our residents who “own” the program, and we are continuously changing to meet individual and program needs. By training with us, you will become well equipped to meet your career goals, whether they be in subspecialty fellowship, hospital medicine or primary care.
