The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) is an information-filled, 16-hour course designed that presents core-level knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the care of children from birth through adolescence. ENPC includes information-filled lectures, interesting demonstrations, and also includes multiple skill stations that encourage participants to integrate their psychomotor abilities into a patient situation in a risk-free environment. The ENPC has been designed by nurses for any nurse who provides pediatric care, to sharpen technical skills and to provide a foundation for future learning. The ENA recommends ENPC as the minimal required education for emergency pediatric nursing.
