Patient Services Center

The Patient Services Center provides a convenient “one-stop” for your entry into Cooper including general check in and obtaining visitor passes. The prime location in the Pavilion lobby provides access to the following services:

  • Charity Care
  • Direct admissions
  • Insurance and financial counseling
  • Medicaid
  • Patient Relations
  • Patient and family consultation rooms

Oasis Restaurant

Oasis RestaurantFor our visitors, the Oasis Restaurant is located near the hospital's main entrance in the lobby. Offering a full breakfast menu as well as soups, salads, trattoria, signature sandwiches, selections from the grille and desserts,

Oasis is an escape for friends and familiy visiting the hospital. Its hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

All items are available for eat-in or take-out. Dial extension 8-1595 from any phone throughout the hospital to place an order for take-out.

Cafe Excellence Coffee Shop

Coffee shopLocated just steps from the information desk in the lobby, the Cafe Excellence Coffee Shop provides patients and visitors with an excellent selection of coffees, teas, cappuccino, espresso and a variety of specialty drinks. In addition, the coffee shop offers a regularly changing menu of delicious sandwiches, fresh salads, soups, and frozen specialties, such as gelato, and healthy “grab and go” snacks.

To make food more available to our staff and guests, the Coffee Shop is open from 6:30 am to midnight, 7 days per week.

Vending Machines

Vending machines in the Pavilion Lobby offer more options for our staff, patients and families to get hot and cold foods 24-hours per day 7 days per week. The Vending area has two microwaves and a seating area.

Cooper Gift Shop

Gift shopThe hospital has a full-service gift shop with a wide variety of items: inspirational, baby, seasonal, candles, gifts and jewelry; along with candy, cards, flowers and newspapers.

The hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Mail, Flowers and Balloons

Our staff deliver mail, flowers and mylar balloons to patients in their rooms. Outgoing mail may be sent from the hospital by giving it to your nurse. Please note that flowers are not permitted in the Intensive and Coronary Care Unit. Only balloons made of mylar – a foil material that holds helium – are permitted in the hospital. Balloons made of other materials, such as latex, cannot be brought into the hospital because many patients and staff members are allergic to latex.

Patient & Family Education Center

Health resource centerPatients and their families are welcome to use the hospital's health resource center, located off the main lobby, to research diseases, conditions, treatments or any health-related information. The resource center staff is available to answer any questions you may have and will help you locate information from our collection of books, medical journals, databases and the internet.

The HRC is equipped with five computers and a specially designed web site that makes it easy to find reliable health information. Through the specially designed web site, information is offered in a variety of formats. Health information is also available on videos, through tutorials on the PC or a flat screen TV, plus there are podcasts about disorders or procedures, or print materials to take home.

The HRC’s knowledgeable and friendly staff is always available to help you find what you are looking for and to answer any questions you may have. Stop by anytime. We look forward to seeing you.
