Cooper University Hospital is the largest multi-disciplinary hospital in Southern New Jersey providing both ambulatory and inpatient care. Cooper Hospital serves as a clinical campus for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Department of is an integral part of Cooper University Hospital, offering inpatient treatment, ambulatory care, crisis evaluation and agency consultation. Our staff is committed to providing comprehensive psychiatric care to people of all ages throughout southern New Jersey.
The Ambulatory Care Division within the Department of Psychiatry is staffed by board certified adult, child and adolescent, family, geriatric and forensic psychiatrists as well as psychiatric residents. A team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists and social workers provide therapy, assessment, and employee counseling.
The Children's Regional Hospital's experienced psychiatrists treat a wide range of child and adolescent problems, including those related to mother-infant bonding, psychosomatic illnesses, post-traumatic stress disorders and psycho-physiological disorders. In addition to our psychiatric services, we have a staff of psychologists who provide comprehensive services. Psychological testing and treatment are available for children from infancy through adolescence.
Cooper psychiatrists and psychologists provide a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including child and adolescent psychiatry; geriatric psychiatry, substance abuse programs, treatment for psychiatric disorders, anxiety or depression, psychology, and forensic psychology.
