In keeping with the hospital’s mission to provide quality care to our patients, Cooper University Hospital’s Education Department continually offers an ever-increasing variety of educational activities to our staff. The quality and quantity of educational programs available at Cooper University Hospital has been unsurpassed for many years. Because of the excellent reputation of our educational programs, nurses from many other health care facilities have attended Cooper courses. The education department also endeavors to afford staff members assistance in meeting their professional goals. To that end, Cooper offers programs for all levels of staff and supports their efforts in continuing their education not only through NJSNA –approved programs, but also through the tuition reimbursement program, college and trade school affiliations, and on-campus courses.
As a New Jersey State Nurse Association Provider, our continuing education programs are developed around specific goals and objectives with content that incorporates the latest clinical and nursing research. The programs are delivered using a variety of educational methods: case studies, discussion, lecture, and group work. We utilize the most qualified speakers who are experts in their topics. Many of the speakers are members of the Department of Education or University medical staff who not only teach at Cooper but also speak Nationally and are recognized for their expertise. Depending on the subject matter, we may also use speakers from other educational institutions or Consultants.
We are pleased to offer our Educational Course Catalog for your review. We believe that continuing education and professional development are essential in supporting our clinical mission but also an integral part of retaining and recruiting staff. We hope you will join us for some of these excellent educational programs.
