EMS Outreach and Injury Prevention Programs

AmbulanceThe Level I Trauma Center offers many educational programs for the EMS Community, most with accompanying CEUs. Topics include generalized programs such as EMT trauma overview and trauma transport & triage to more specific programs such as traumatic brain injury, chest and abdominal injuries. All programs can be presented at your own squad buildings or training centers and are free of charge. Please contact us if you have a trauma related topic for which you would like a program developed.

PREHOSPITAL TRAUMA LIFE SUPPORT
PHTLS focuses on the principles of good trauma care. This course is supported by The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. This course takes place over a 2.5 day period.

SIMULATION MANIKIN LAB (Coming Soon)
Program Description Hands on program utilizing the SimMan. The SimMan is a full body, adult manikin that allows the simulation of Basic and Advanced skills and assessment to develop and improve the skills of the provider. The manikin can be programmed with many different scenarios which the provider will have to assess and identify, treat appropriately, and determine the quality of the intervention.
