Trauma Recovery Support Group

Trauma support groupRecuperation from serious injuries can be long and difficult. We want you to know you are not alone. Trauma Recovery is an ongoing support group at Cooper Hospital which helps trauma patients and their families deal with the concerns and problems faced by those who are recovering from serious injuries.

Bringing people together who have been through similar kinds of experiences will provide families ongoing support, understanding and help in solving problems that occur in the healing process. It is through positive group interactions we can provide support and hope that your loved one doesn’t remain a trauma victim forever, but becomes a trauma survivor.

“I can’t say enough about the value of a support team to the families of traumatically injured individuals," said Steven Ross, MD; Head, Trauma Division. "Cooper’s Trauma Support Team understands the needs of these families and offers invaluable answers to the many questions they have after a loved one is severely injured.”

The support group meets the first and third Wednesday of every month.

On the first Wednesday they meet from 3 pm - 4 pm and on the third Wednesday from 7 pm - 8 pm.

All meetings will be in room 802 Kelemen. Members of the Cooper Family Resource Group serve as group facilitators.
