About 50 million Americans suffer from allergies. The immune systems of people with allergies overreact to normally harmless substances, called triggers. Allergic disorders are the sixth leading cause of chronic illnesses in the U.S., affecting both adults and children. Many allergic disorders have increased over the past decades and are still on the rise.
Despite these troubling statistics, allergies often go undiagnosed or improperly treated. Untreated allergies can lead to serious chronic conditions. In addition, some allergic reactions are potentially life threatening.
Cooper Allergists-Immunologists see patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and senior citizens (geriatric population).
We evaluate, diagnose and treat the following allergy–related conditions:

In addition, we participate in numerous clinical research studies on Asthma and Atopic Dermatitis.
Our Allergists-Immunologists also have extensive experience treating primary immunodeficiency disorders (PID). These are the diseases of the immune system with the impaired ability to fight the infection. Some of the PID are inheritable and may present clinically at any age. The most common clinical features of PID are frequent severe and/or chronic infections, including diarrhea. It is important to recognize PID early in their course for better optimal control of these disorders and for providing information relevant to immediate family members.
