anesthesiologyThe Department of Anesthesiology is an independent department within the Cooper University Hospital , the clinical campus of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Camden. We offer a three-year residency, approved by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Cooper University Hospital serves as Southern New Jersey's major tertiary-care referral hospital for specialized services including: Level 1 Southern Jew Jersey Regional Trauma Center; the Cooper Cancer Institute, the Cooper Heart Institute, the Cooper Bone & Joint Institute, the Cooper Neuroscience institute and critical care medicine.

Pediatric Anesthesia Division
A wide range of pediatric anesthesia services in the operating room and to improve the comfort of pediatric patients.

Research Division
The Anesthesiology Research Program's mission is to engage in research that will result in improved state of the art patient therapies utilizing the highest standards of biomedical ethics.

Simulation Center
Innovative training in both cognitive and procedural skills in a nonpatient environment.
