
There is a lot of information about breast cancer and sometimes it can be overwhelming. This section will provide medical information about breast cancer. If you are diagnosed with breast cancer, it is important to understand your diagnosis. Therefore, a list of questions have been included to be used as a guide in communicating your concerns to your doctor and to obtain the information that you will need during this journey. You should always feel comfortable with your doctor, ask all of the questions that you need to ask. Prior to your visit it is a good idea to write your questions down so that you do not forget any of them during your visit. Also, if possible take someone with you, when you are newly diagnosed you have a lot on your mind and you may not remember everything that was discussed with your doctor. If you do not feel comfortable taking someone with you, bring a small tape recorder and record your visit. This way if you forget what the doctor says, you can play the tape. Remember, keep the communication lines open with your doctor.
