Genetics Program
The Southern New Jersey Regional Genetics Program at The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper is a comprehensive program designated by the New Jersey Department of Health for evaluation, diagnosis and genetic counseling of children, adults and their families who have members with birth defects or genetic disorders or who may be at risk for a variety of inherited or congenital conditions. Programs offered: Prenatal Genetic Counseling, Medical Genetics Outpatient and Inpatient Consultations (children and adults), Genetic Skin Program, Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Program, Skeletal Dysplasia Program, and Connective Tissue Disease Program.
As a State-designated regional referral center, The Children's Regional Hospital is well known for its expertise in diagnosing birth defects and genetic disorders and counseling parents and children. Through our multidisciplinary teams which focus on Neurocutaneous Disorders, Skeletal Dysplasias, Connective Tissue Disorders, and Ambiguous Genitalia, these patients can receive lifelong care.
