Epilepsy Program

Epilepsy is one of the country's most common disabling neurological conditions, affecting more than 2.5 million Americans. While about 10% of Americans will experience a seizure of some kind during their lifetime, those affected by epilepsy in particular are generally the very young and the elderly.
The Epilepsy Treatment Program provides comprehensive evaluation of individuals who have poorly controlled epilepsy. This program emphasis the long term management of difficult seizure cases using available pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies. Education, psychosocial counseling, stress management and social services are provided.

- Testing services including EEG, sleep-deprived EEG, visual evoked potentials, and inpatient video EEG monitoring

- Neuropsychological testing and treatment (including WADA testing)
- Clinical trials research
- Vagal nerve stimulator treatment
