| Description: | The first portion of the course reviews how to check the code cart, the contents of the code carts, primary and secondary ABCD assessment for the floor nurse, the nurse’s role after the code team arrives, the roles of the code team members and how to correctly complete the Code Blue/White resuscitation record. The second portion of the course is conducted in the simulation lab. Hands-on crisis situations are created using SimMan. This hands-on portion of the course is so that the nurse may practice, in a purely learning environment, how to react to crisis or emergent situations. Space is limited in this course so please register early!
