Summary:This five-hour program is a course to prepare you for a patient receiving peritoneal dialysis.
Description:
Comments include a review of chronic vs. acute renal failure, dietary modification include in the renal patient’s plan of care, common medications used in dialysis patients and the nurse’s role in caring for a patient receiving peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, including a practical demonstration of CAPD (continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis) and CCPD (continuous cycled peritoneal dialysis).
