Neurology Residency Program

Curriculum

The Neurology Residency at Cooper is designed to teach residents how to manage conventional and complex neurological patients. As the only tertiary care center in southern New Jersey, Cooper is uniquely positioned to train Neurology residents. Our Neurology services include:

  • A dedicated stroke unit, which serves numerous community hospitals throughout the region
  • A Video-EEG epilepsy monitoring unit also draws referrals from the region
  • State-of-the-Art Neurophysiology Laboratory, offering:
    • Electromyography
    • Electroencephalography
    • Somotosensory Evoked Potentials
    • Visual Evoked Potentials
    • Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials
  • Cooper Neurological Institute offers a multidisciplinary approach to almost all neurological disorders
  • Several outpatient clinics, including several general Neurology clinics as well as subspecialty clinics including:
    • Botulinum toxin clinic
    • Epilepsy clinic
    • Stroke clinic
    • Neuromuscular disease clinic
    • Headache clinic
    • Neurodevelopmental clinic

The breadth of disorders and experience of our faculty also offers the resident numerous clinical research opportunities.
