Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship
The orthopaedic trauma fellowship is one year of postgraduate training offered to residents who have successfully completed an orthopaedic surgery residency.
Cooper University Hospital is the only Level 1 trauma center in southern New Jersey and deals constantly with the evaluation and treatment of trauma patients. Upon completing the orthopaedic trauma fellowship the candidate is able to:

prioritize the management of the multiply injured patient

understand and be able to treat operatively difficult intra-articular fractures

evaluate and manage patients with pelvic fractures

recognize and formulate strategies for the treatment of post-traumatic deformities
-
participate in the planning, development, and administration of an Orthopaedic Trauma Program
-
perform relevant clinical research as it pertains to orthopaedic trauma
-
teach the principles and techniques of orthopaedic trauma to his/her peers, residents, and other healthcare professionals
