As South Jersey's leading teaching hospital, Cooper attracts some of the best doctors from the finest institutions in the country. In the last few years, Cooper University Hospital has had the most "Top Docs" named out of any institution in South Jersey. For an unbiased presentation of these doctors, we have procured the list of South Jersey Physicians as cited in the database produced by Best Doctors, Inc. Best Doctors, INC. is the leader in helping to connect patients WITH doctors. To qualify a doctor for the Best Doctors, Inc. list, doctors are nominated through peer interviews and balloting in the national medical community."
About the Best Doctors, Inc. Database: Best Doctors is an international company serving hundreds of insurers, employers and health plans, covering more than 10 million people in 30 countries. Best Doctors has pioneered a worldwide database of 50,000 top medical specialists in more than 400 subspecialties. These are doctors chosen by their own peers for one simple reason: They are among the best. To help identify specialists who are considered by fellow physicians to be the most skilled in their fields and most qualified for reviewing and treating complex medical conditions, peer reviews are conducted.
The polling process is anonymous and confidential, qualitative and quantitative. Doctors do not pay to be included in the database, nor do we pay them to participate in the survey.
