Pediatric Sleep Medicine

For children and adolescents, the long-term effects of untreated sleep disorders can be many and varied, and can range from physical to cognitive and psychiatric consequences. The Pediatric Sleep Medicine program at Cooper addresses a wide array of symptoms and disorders and can make a measurable difference in your child's health.

Our pediatric sleep medicine specialists are can evaluate your child who may be experiencing sleep disturbances, including insomnia or hypersomnia. We also can help if your child is suffering from symptoms suggestive of obstructive sleep apnea including snoring, apnea, mouth breathing and dry mouth, morning headaches, uncontrolled seizures, and/or bedwetting. Attentional problems and hyperactivity as well as other psychiatric issues can also be secondary to apnea. Restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy and parasomniac behaviors such as sleepwalking or sleeptalking also can be treated.
