Post-Partum & New Moms Support Group
Summary:The support group provides a safe and confidential setting for women to share their feelings after the birth of their baby.
Description:

Often, motherhood can be overwhelming and women are rarely informed about the range of emotions they may experience after childbirth.  Many women often report “feeling blue” however, the blues may worsen and the depression may be overwhelming.  Well intentioned family members provide advice, but in many cases, the advice just doesn’t work.    The result is often devastating and the depression deepens.  Emotional support and empathy is a key part to dealing with post-partum depression.

Cooper Provides Support is a professionally run support group for new mothers and meets twice monthly on Wednesdays from 11:00 – 12:00.  The meetings are held in the Ronald McDonald Family Room on the 5th floor of the Dorrance Building.

Registration is not necessary and the group is always open to new members.  If you would like more information or directions please call 856-968-7565.
