As part of an initiative created by ACOG District III, Cooper's OB-GYN Residency will join other local programs in the tri-state area to support local domestic violence shelters between now and Mother's Day on Sunday, May 12th, 2019. Our OB-GYN Residency will be supporting Mother Child Shelter in Woodbury, NJ. Mother Child provides temporary housing to mothers parenting 1-3 children and women who are currently pregnant. Many of Cooper patients are referred to Mother Child for emergency shelter. Additionally, Mother Child offers its residents counseling, educational classes focused on parenting, anger management, and substance abuse. If you are a Cooper OB-GYN Resident and interested in participating, please contact Tieg Beazer or Amanda Malik as soon as possible. Last day to participate is Friday, May 10, 2019. Is your residency or fellowship program active in the community? Let us know! Email socialmedia@cooperhealth.edu with your story.
