At Cooper University Health Care, our focus is on family-centered care – supporting you and your baby every step of the way. We offer private, comfortable birthing suites designed to keep moms and their newborns together throughout their hospital stay.
Our Labor & Delivery area is fully equipped to support all types of pregnancies – from routine to high-risk – with advanced technology and expert care available at every moment.
What You Can Expect
Our Labor & Delivery suite includes:
- Six private labor and delivery rooms
- One isolation labor and delivery room
- Three triage rooms for early labor assessment
- Two operating rooms for C-section
- A comfortable waiting area for families
Whether you have a vaginal birth or a C-section, you’ll remain in the same unit throughout your stay – no need to transfer to another area of the hospital.
Continuity and Compassionate Care
We emphasize primary nursing, meaning the same nurse will care for you throughout your time in Labor & Delivery whenever possible. This continuity helps build trust and ensures a more personal, reassuring experience.
Families are encouraged to be part of the birth experience and recovery. We welcome your support network and are committed to making this a safe, meaningful time for everyone involves.
An anesthesiologist is available 24/7 to provide expert pain management and assist with C- sections, ensuring your comfort and safety around the clock.
