Testing the Efficacy of an eHealth Decision Support Tool to Help Latinx Cancer Patients Make Informed Decisions About Tumor Genomic Testing
The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of an electronic health (eHealth) decision support tool to increase TGP informed decision making among Latinx patients recruited in cancer centers in Philadelphia, New York City, and Camden, NJ. eHealth interventions can promote health behavior change when developed with targeted messages, but many fall short if they do not effectively address the core barriers to a health decision.136-138 This proposal builds on the preliminary results of Gene Pilot (ACS Health Equity Grant IRB 18-8006), which was tested in an RCT with Black/African American cancer patients, and formative work with Latinx patients funded by the current U54 pilot mechanism.
