Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer

Dr. Gandhi currently leads the Informatics, Operational Excellence, and Population Intelligence teams at Cooper. 

He earned his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ, and trained in internal medicine at Cooper University Hospital where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Gandhi has held various leadership positions within the Cooper Health System including Director of Medical Informatics, Site Director and subsequently Associate Division Head within the Division of Hospital Medicine. 

Dr. Gandhi was appointed by former Governor Corzine to serve on the NJ Health Information Technology Commission. He is board certified in both internal medicine and clinical informatics. 

Dr. Gandhi has extensive experience in technology and clinical workflows and leverages his knowledge of combining four key pillars – People, Process, Technology, and Culture – to streamline existing processes while introducing new innovations. He has given regional and national presentations on various topics and has co-authored several publications.
