The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Children's Regional Hospital at Cooper provides high-level care for children who require continuous monitoring. Our doctors and nurses are experienced in treating pediatric diseases and critically ill children.

Our teaching affiliate dermatologists specialize in the recognition and treatment of a full range of skin conditions in both adults and children, including: skin cancer, acne, moles, psoriasis, rosacea, and eczema.

The Child Development Center at The Children's Regional Hospital is a major referral center for comprehensive diagnostic assessments of infants, toddlers, school-aged children and adolescents. Children are individually evaluated for developmental delays, learning disabilities, cognitive levels, speech and language disorders, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and gross and fine motor deficits.

All of the services offered within the Cooper Dyslexia Assessment &Treatment Program are personalized and individualized. Following an initial consultation with parents, specific assessments are tailored to meet the needs of the individual child.

Cooper has successfully implemented EMS programs, including Basic Life Support Medical Direction and EMS Outreach, and prides itself in developing programs that support a standard of care for the EMS system that is expected by the public and health care providers.

The emergency department (ED) at Cooper University Hospital provides treatment to patients with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life-threatening and requiring immediate attention.

The Division of EMS and Disaster Medicine was first established to organize activities and expertise regarding Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine. The Division brings expertise in emergency medical services, disaster medicine, public health, and weapons of mass destruction to provide a resource to the hospital, community, region and the state.

The Children's Regional Hospital at Cooper is the only hospital in the South Jersey providing the services of board-certified pediatric endocrinologists.

The Children's Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital in Southern New Jersey provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of children with G.I. disorders. This service is provided by a board-certified gastroenterologist, dietitian, nurse and social worker.

Our general pediatricians offer preventive and primary care for infants and children. They diagnose and treat illnesses in all children from birth to 18 years of age while counseling parents on how to be active participants in their child's health care.

The Southern New Jersey Regional Genetics Program at The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper is a program for evaluation, diagnosis and genetic counseling of children, adults and their families who have members with birth defects or genetic disorders.

The Southern New Jersey Regional Pediatric HIV Treatment Center at The Children's Regional Hospital at Cooper provides comprehensive, coordinated, family-focused services to children with HIV infection and their families. The staff of the Center works to locate and follow HIV seropositive newborns and children.

The Gregory T. Ryan Infant Apnea Evaluation Center thoroughly tests and evaluates babies who have apnea, siblings of infants who have died of sudden infant death syndrome, children who have suffered an apparent life-threatening event, children with reflux, and more.

Infectious Disease specialists at the Children's Regional Hospital at Cooper diagnose and evaluate infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and other organisms. They assist in the treatment of disease through the use of antibiotics and other agents, and aid in the prevention of disease by vaccination against infection.

Our board-certified emergency medicine physicians can treat a range of health issues needing prompt attention with the added benefit of providing X-ray services at the same location.
