sk-logo.pngSafe Kids Southern New Jersey's mission is to decrease unintentional injury and death to children ages 14 and under from:

  • Motor vehicle crashes and pedestrian injuries
  • Bike crashes
  • Drownings
  • Fires and scald burns
  • Poisonings
  • Unintentional shootings
  • Falls
  • Airway obstructions

Ninety percent of these injuries could be prevented if families took the simple steps necessary to protect their children.

Honorary Chairs

Rick Williams, co-anchor of Action News Morning newscast and Action News at Noon, with co-anchor Monica Malpass, joined WPVI-TV, Channel 6 in April of 1988 as a general assignment reporter. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter at WRAL-TV in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, at WOWK-TV, Huntington, West Virginia, and at WUSA in Washington, D.C. He graduated in 1983 from Howard University, Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Jocelyn Mitchell-Williams, M.D., is a member of Cooper University Hospital's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
