What was your first job?
I worked as a babysitter from a young age and helped my older brother with his newspaper route.
Tell us something about you that people wouldn't expect.
I played the cello for ten years and seriously considered becoming a professional musician.
What inspired you to become a cancer specialist?
During my medical residency, I saw the deep connection that oncologists developed with their patients. I found it very meaningful and inspiring to be able to help people going through a very difficult time in their lives.
What is your essential patient care philosophy?
I believe that every patient is unique and needs an individualized approach to care. I try to give hope and optimism to patients and let them know that we are working together as a team.
What do you hope your patients say about you to their family and friends?
I hope my patients say that I am a good listener, that they can trust me, and that I truly care for them and their families.
What three words best describe you?
Caring, compassionate, and dedicated.
Outside of your family and your work, what are your passions?
I am passionate about music and love to go to concerts in Philadelphia.
