  2. Why is ACLS/BLS combined?

  3. Can I take ACLS without BLS?
No. All ACLS courses at Cooper are now a combined ACLS/BLS course.
  4. My certification does not expire for another 3 months, can I sign up for a course now?

  5. How do I register for a course?
Please visit www.cooperhealth.enrollware.com to register for an upcoming class. Cooper employees can also access our page through the Cooper Pulse page > Center for Resuscitation Education.
  6. How do I cancel my registration?

Yes. Our courses cover a large amount of content within the time provided to maximize the student’s learning opportunity.

  9. How do I obtain a copy of my card?

  10. I no longer have access to my Cooper email address; can I still access my ecards?

  11. Is there a grace period for expired certifications?
No. The AHA does not offer a grace period for expired certifications. Your card is valid until the last day of the month listed on your card.
  12. Can I take a renewal class if my current certification has only been expired for 2 weeks?

  13. I’m a new hire that has not started working yet, can I use the employee promo code?
The employee promo code can only be used by employees who have completed hospital orientation and have been given a Cooper email address and employee I.D. #.
  14. What documentation do I need to bring for my class?
Pre-course requirements for each course are listed in detail under “Course Description” on our Enrollware page, as well as your confirmation and reminder emails. Students are responsible for ensuring all required pre-course work is completed prior to the start of their class and able to provide the required certificate (or picture) when they arrive to the class. If a student has not completed the required pre-course work or is unable to provide proof, the student will not be able stay for class and will need to register for another class. There are no exceptions to this policy.
  15. What time should I arrive for my class?
Your course starts promptly at the time listed in the course details. We recommend arriving approximately 15 minutes early for check-in.
  16. If I am on leave, can I still attend a class?
No. Per hospital policy, Cooper employees who are on leave for any reason are not able to attend courses until they have been cleared to return to work. However, you can register to attend a class; you are just not permitted to complete the pre-course work or attend a class while on leave.
  17. Is there a lunch and breaks during the class?
There is a 10-minute break built into our BLS classes. Our PALS and ACLS/BLS classes have built-in breaks in addition to a 30-minute lunch break.
  18. Are there food/beverages in the building?
There is a vending area with pre-packaged foods, snacks, drinks, and candy located on the first floor of our building across from the welcome desk. Cash and cards are accepted. There is also a pantry area on our floor that can be used for the microwave, Keurig machine, etc. There is a water cooler outside of the classroom to refill water bottles also.
  19. I have an injury; do I need to participate in hands-on skills?
Successful completion requires students to actively participate in all course components. If you have an injury that may prevent you from participating in hands-on skills, we recommend that you speak with your physician before attending class. Any student who is unable to complete hands-on skills will be considered unsuccessful and will be required to register for another class at a later date.
  20. I am having technical difficulties completing the pre-course work, what should I do?
Please try to restart your computer or switch to a different web browser. If the issues persist, please contact the AHA directly for technical assistance at 888-242-8883. *Please note technical issues do not excuse a student from needing to complete required pre-course work. Students should give themselves ample time between registration and the date of your course to make sure all required pre-course work is completed. If you are unable to complete the pre-course work, you will need to cancel from the class and register for another class.
  21. I am a nursing mother, is there a lactation area provided?
There is a Mamava Lacation Pod located on the first floor of our building in the hallway across from the welcome desk.
  22. Will my class be cancelled in the event of inclement weather?
The training center follows all Cooper policies pertaining to weather. All classes will be held as scheduled unless a decision is made by senior leadership to temporarily suspend operations. You will receive notification via email and text message if your class is cancelled.
