Our approach emphasizes exams that limit the amount of radiation exposure while ensuring an accurate diagnosis. We understand that medical procedures can be intimidating for children, which is why we go to great lengths to make them feel comfortable during their imaging exam.

When it comes to the accuracy of your child’s results, you’ll find peace of mind knowing Cooper’s highly experienced team consists of South Jersey’s only two board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric radiologists.

Our pediatric radiology services include:

X-Rays

Used to diagnose a child’s broken bones, dislocated joints, and several other conditions, a pediatric X-ray produces images of the inside of the body.

At Cooper, our highly experienced pediatric radiology team perform low dose X-rays for children at each of our five area South Jersey radiology locations.

Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy provides live, moving X-ray images and is often used to diagnose a condition or when a child needs a procedure like an enema, catheterization, or orthopaedic surgery.

Cooper’s pediatric team are experts at conducting fluoroscopies with the lowest acceptable radiation, ensuring your child’s safety.

CT Scan

A pediatric computed tomography (CT) scan uses a combination of X-rays and a computer to create images of a child’s organs, bones, and other tissues to detect bone and joint issues, complex bone fractures, and tumors.

At Cooper, your child’s CT scan is conducted with speed, safety, short, and care by our pediatric experts.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Pediatric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) produces detailed images of organs, tissues, and structures inside the body without radiation so doctors can detect diseases and injuries.

Our specialists are skilled at helping children stay calm and comfortable during their MRI.

Ultrasound

This safe, painless imaging exam uses sound waves to examine organs, allowing doctors to identify any existing conditions.

At Cooper, our expert pediatric radiology team conducts ultrasounds at each of our five South Jersey locations.

Nuclear Medicine

Used to detect and monitor complex conditions like cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders, nuclear medicine uses small amounts of radioactive material to produce detailed images of the inside of the body.

Our pediatric radiology experts are specially trained to conduct these tests safely and accurately in children.
