About Me

Dr. Kaufman’s endocrinology practice focuses on the management of Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes. He has particular interest in insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring. Dr. Kaufman emphasizes team-based care and works closely with the Endocrinology Division’s diabetes educators to develop individual care plans that promote diabetes self-management  As the Medical Director of Cooper’s Urban Health Institute, Dr. Kaufman works on innovative models of health care delivery such as shared medical appointments, which are available at the Cherry Hill and Camden locations.

I really like the group visits. Sometimes, when another diabetic patient is sharing his/ her concerns about an issue, Dr. Kaufman gives a very good response, and it can be helpful to others in the room. I really enjoy these group visits.
