About Me

Wendy Schell, MSN, APN is the Structural Heart Program Director at Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ. She is a graduate of the Rutgers University Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program and currently serves as a part time Adjunct Instructor for the University. She has more than 31 years of experience in cardiology nursing practice.

Ms. Schell has lectured on various topics in the field of cardiology and has developed and implemented a program for the heart failure population in effort to decrease hospital readmission rates. She has authored two articles, one on this topic published in The Professional Journal of Case Management and the second co-authored on TAVR program optimization published in The Association of Academic Surgical Administrators newsletter, The Cutting Edge.

She has pioneered the way in building a successful Structural Heart Program in the South Jersey area, navigating through challenges of program growth, cost containment, and team building. She is actively involved in educating other program leaders to build successful programs.
