Patient Education

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper health education specialists collaborate with our expert healthcare providers to provide people with cancer, their family and their caregivers with accurate, reliable information to empower them to participate in their cancer care.

Call-In and In-person Classes

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper offers a variety of classes to support your cancer journey.

Our complementary medicine classes enhance traditional cancer treatments with therapies that reinforce the healing power of the mind, body, and spirit, and provide you with tools to help you navigate a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Cancer education courses with our experienced oncology nurses help you understand a variety of cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy.

Support groups, and education and wellness activities teach new skills and provide you with the opportunity to be part of our survivorship community.

All call-in and virtual programs are free and open to cancer survivors and their family/caregivers. In-person classes are also free, however attendance is limited to cancer survivors due to space constraints.
