About Me
Alan R. Turtz, MD, FACS is Director of the Pituitary Tumor Program at the Cooper Neurologic Institute and Professor of Neurological Surgery at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Dr. Turtz received his medical degree in 1986 from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he also completed his neurosurgery training. Before joining Cooper in 2004, Dr. Turtz practiced in Philadelphia at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital where he was Chief of the Neurosurgical Service and Medical Director of the Neurosurgical ICU. Dr. Turtz is a nationally recognized leader in the use of minimally invasive cerebral endoscopy. His expertise includes brain tumors with a special interest in pituitary and intraventricular tumors.
