About Me

What inspired you to become a cancer specialist?
It was a combination of things. When I was in medical residency I thought I was going to be a cardiologist. My grandfather was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and passed away that year, so I spent a lot of time thrust into the world of oncology. I think it changed my perspective a bit and I developed a keen passion and interest for oncology.

What is your essential patient care philosophy?
That no matter what, I'm here for my patients. Your concerns are my concerns. I wouldn't be in this profession if it wasn't for the patients. A diagnosis of cancer is truly terrifying, no matter what, and Id like to think at the end of the day I can be that rock of support for my patients during what may be the most difficult time of their lives.

What do you hope your patients say about you to their family and friends?
That they would recommend a family member to me. That is the ultimate compliment.

What three words best describe you?
Empathic, energetic, and dedicated.
